About the center

The National Center for Information and Tourism Promotion Sângeorgiu de Pădure was founded in 2015, after implementation of the project "Creating and equipping the National Center for Information and Tourism Promotion of Sângeorgiu de Pădure city ".

The project was financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the national and local budget of Sângeorgiu de Pădure city.

The Information Center is located in the premises of the building considered the greatest tourist attraction of the city, Rhedey castle built in Baroque style, respectively. This is the castle where Claudina Rhedey, the great-great-grandmother of the present Queen Elisabeth II of Great Britain, was born and raised.

The objective of the center is to increase the number of tourists, to promote the local tourism and the upper course region of Tarnava Mica River.

The National Center for Information and Tourism Promotion Sângeorgiu de Pădure will integrate with the national network of the National Centers for Information and Tourism Promotion by providing tourist information of general and local interest by accessing the Webpage created to this purpose, including the promotion of local events, hotels and guesthouses in the area, of artisan shops, travel agencies as well as other businesses involved in tourism and related services.
